Theme

DC Action wanted a theme that would represent the company's resilience and growth after suffering losses during the pandemic. Taking that into account, I decided to focus the theme around the idea of a rebirth, a renaissance. What better way to do that than through the Roaring 20s?

I took a lot of inspiration from the intricate style of the Art Deco era and used many elements provided by Canva (Elements by Mikaella Beratio).

Typeface

When deciding the typeface for this event, a decorative style was important for emulating the 1920's. I needed a type that was not only decorative but legible, which is why I went with Limelight and Versailles as the secondary font.

Color

It is essential for me to keep the continuity of a brand. When it came to colors, I was mainly used to the colors provided by the DC Action Brand Guidelines. To add to the vintage theme, I chose to darken and desaturate some of the colors slightly.
